My name is Myraline Morris Whitaker. My day job is running a hospitality industry-consulting firm, so I need to dress up in business attire most days to meet with clients. My passion however is the Sister Soldier Project, which I founded for sending care packages to US Military female soldiers deployed throughout the Middle East theatre. Many of these women have special hair care needs for products to help them deal with the intense heat and dryness in the region. These products cannot be obtained through normal military channels. It is especially important for them to maintain pride in their appearance representing our country these days to other peoples of the world. The Project has already shipped goods to over 2000 Sister Soldiers during the past two years. Products which have been shared with many, many hundreds more female soldiers in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, and the Ships at Sea. Our main distribution vehicle is Packing Parties hosted by various women‚Äö organizations and clubs around the country. My favorite packing party attire is of course my Rosie Overalls.
